Island of Sicily

1388 BC

The pulse of the sea pressed me forward, urging my body deeper into its embrace. I obeyed the nudge and kicked my legs, peering through water-rippled light at the hidden world inside this secret cave.

What will Sofea find inside the cave? I can’t wait to find out. Pick up a copy today!

About the Book:

The daughter of a pagan high priest, Sofea finds solace from her troubles in the freedom of the ocean. But when marauders attack her village on the island of Sicily, she and her cousin are taken across the sea to the shores of Canaan.

Eitan has lived in Kedesh, a City of Refuge, for the last eleven years, haunted by a tragedy in his childhood and chafing at the boundaries placed on him. He is immediately captivated by Sofea, but revealing his most guarded secret could mean drawing her into the danger of his past.

As threats from outside the walls loom and traitors are uncovered within, Sofea and Eitan are plunged into the midst of a murder plot. Will they break free from the shackles of the past in time to uncover the betrayal and save their lives and the lives of those they love?

    Happy Friday Gina!

My first lines come from Killer Classics by Kym Roberts……

“Sugar did it.” Sugar’s mouth dropped open, and her eyes nearly popped out of her head at Reba Sue’s accusation. “Sugar didn’t kill anyone,” Leila argued. “The woman traps scorpions at the bar and releases them outside.” Leila shuddered, her round body jiggling from head to toe. “Stupid critters belong under a boot heel.”

Have an awesome weekend and happy reading!💕📚💕

Happy Friday! I can’t wait for my copy to arrive! Connilyn Cossette is a talented author.

I’m sharing about “This Is The Day” by Tim Tebow over on my blog today. I’m currently reading “Ours for a Season” by Kim Vogel Sawyer so I’ll be sharing my first line from there.

    Pine Hill, Indiana
    Mary Krieger Hirschler

Marty followed her husband to the front door, keeping enough distance between them to prevent bumping her knee against the bulky suitcase that hung from his hand.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Happy reading!

Jason Huyard had to be dreaming. The whole scene playing out in front of him was surreal as he stood in the Lapp family’s kitchen doorway and peered into their large family room.

Happy Friday! I’m sharing from an upcoming read, The Love Letter by Rachel Hauck, over on my blog today. Here are the first lines from the prologue, set during the American Revolution:

“He must finish. He must. Stumbling, he fell to the damp earth of the maple swamp with the click-slap of musket fire ringing through the cold dew, his breath billowing.”

Happy Friday! On my blog, I’m featuring the book I just finished reading, “The Awakening” by Tamara Leigh. Here I will share the first line from the book I’m currently reading, “The Unwanted Suitor” by Michelle Pennington. There is a prologue, but I’ll share the first line from Chapter 1. “Cornelia Greystone glanced at the ormolu clock that graced the wall over her dressing table and her whole body tensed with urgency.” Have a wonderful weekend!
