Top Ten Tuesday-My Favorite Genre (or Second Favorite…)

Thank you for joining me for another Top Ten Tuesday with The Artsy Reader.

Today’s theme is “Top Ten Favorite Books in your Favorite Genre,” or something like that. My favorite genre is historical romance, but I’ve seen a lot of posts today with that topic, so I chose to go with my second favorite genre which is romantic suspense. Suspense, as a whole, is a new genre for me, and to be a favorite you have to have read the book! So, thankfully, I’ve read more than ten books in this genre! Most of these are contemporary romantic suspense, but I added two historical romantic suspense on the end because I am really enjoying that new subgenre!

Anyway, without further ado, my favorite romantic suspense books.

#1- Breach of Trust by Rachel Dylan

Breach of Trust is the first and only book I’ve read by Rachel Dylan. I enjoyed it very much and am looking forward to reading the first two books of this series. I enjoyed the legal aspects and learn a lot of things I didn’t know about the legal world.

#2- A Caffeine Conundrum by Angela Ruth Strong

This book was hysterical as well as suspenseful. I loved the pitting of a coffee-lover and a tea-lover against each other, and watching the girls out aside their difference for a common cause.

#3- Justice Buried by Patricia Bradley

I’ve read three out of the four Memphis Cold Case books and Justice Buried is definitely my favorite. I loved the museum angle and also the security hacker.

#4-Mermaid Moon by Colleen Coble

Mermaid Moon was my first contemporary suspense book by Colleen Coble. I enjoyed this book and I’ve been hooked on all her books ever since.

#5- Blind Spot by Dani Pettrey

I’ve read three out of the four Chesapeake Valor books and Blind Spot was my favorite so far. This whole series is really good and I recommend it, though I will say that Still Life gave me the willies.

#6- The Negotiator by Dee Henderson

Dee Henderson’s O’Malley series was the first romantic suspense books I ever read. I chose book one for this post, but I enjoyed all of them.

#7- Fatal Judgement by Irene Hannon

I’ve only read a couple books by Irene Hannon, but I’m a fan of her style and have been slowly adding her books to my collection. Fatal Judgement was the first of her books I read, and I really enjoyed it.

#8- Butterfly Palace by Colleen Coble

I couldn’t help sharing another Colleen Coble book. I’m a huge fan and I love that I can never figure out her villains!

#9-The White City by Grace Hitchcock

The White City is the first book in a new series based on true crimes. This book was a really fun opening to the series!

#10- In the Shadow of Croft Towers by Abigail Wilson

This debut novel by Abigail Wilson was a interesting historical romantic suspense. I was fully of twists and surprises and really kept me guessing!

Well, that’s all folks! I would love to hear about your favorite genre and your favorite book in that genre. Maybe I’ll get some new books in my TBR! Thanks for stopping by.
