My Thoughts:

Essential Oils by Terri Secrest is a practical “how to” and easy to understand guide to the world of essential oils and how they connect to our body and the Bible. I highly recommend this book for those who love essential oils and for those who are curious to know more about them. Essential Oils takes an overall look at each system of the body and which oils are the most effective in that system, and exactly how to use them to get the most benefit.

This book doesn’t claim that essential oils are magic or are they meant to be used for self-diagnosis or self-treatment. Mrs. Secrest repeatedly brings up the importance in working in hand with your doctor before treating health concerns with essential oils. Essential oils are also not a replacement for a healthy, active lifestyle.

My favorite thing about this book is how uplifting the presentation is. The photographs are bright and cheery, and the personal anecdotes will warm your heart. I also love how she brings so much Scripture into the text (not KJV) and uses the Word of God to apply the knowledge of essential oils to your personal lives.

This book isn’t just about essential oils, its also about living the joy and peace filled life that our Heavenly Father designed for our bodies and spirits. It’s about releasing negativity and emotional pain to live the abundant life God promised us.
