His Encouragement #37- Giving Your Burden to God

For 2020, I have chosen Isiah 41:10 as my personal verse. This lead into a theme for this year’s “His Encouragement” posts. Each week, I will look at another “fear not” Scripture of the Bible. I hope that as we journey together through these verses that we all will learn a little more about trusting God and rooting out the fear in our lives.

Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Psalm 55:22 KJV

Last night, I could not sleep. My heart was so overwhelmed and not in a good way. In my desperate need for sleep I began giving over my burdens to the Lord. The more I gave to Him, the more I realized I was carrying. I realized I was carrying burdens that weren’t even mine to carry!

Maybe you are aware of how many burdens you’ve taken on this year, maybe you aren’t? But if you are feeling the weight of those burdens, its time to give them to the Lord and let him sustain you through all your trials and tribulations.

I know this verse doesn’t directly deal with fear, but fear is definitely a burden we shouldn’t be carrying.

Cast your burdens on the Lord today!
