His Encouragement #9-A Precious Path

I’ve joined my blogging friends for a new facet of my blog, called His Encouragement, inspiring scriptures shared each Thursday. My hope and my prayer is that these scriptures each week will bless your heart and encourage your soul.

I’m very excited to share my personal verse for 2021 and begin a new journey together through the Word of God.

“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

Psalm 16:11 KJV

This leads into a theme for this year’s His Encouragement posts. Each week, I will look at another “path” found in the Bible. We will also look at verses with the word “lead.” I hope that as we journey together through these verses that we all will learn a little more about God and the paths he has for us to take in our lives.

Today’s verse is Job 28: 7, 10-11. “There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture’s eye hath not seen: He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing. He bindeth the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light.”

This verse (and one phrase in particular) caught my attention this morning. I know this verse is talking about God’s creation and the hidden things in the earth such as the paths of the waters and reins that run underground. The phrase that caught my attention is “His eye seeth every precious thing.” I realize this verse speaks of precious gems and metals found in the earth, however, I also realize that I am more precious to God than any of those things.

Gold, and diamonds, and rubies do not compare with the value that God has placed on your life. You are far more important and precious to him than all the riches of the world. How do I know that?

He died for you. Dear friend, Jesus was willing to go through unimaginable torture so that you can be with him for all eternity. If you were not precious to him, do you think he would have done that?

This week we remember Jesus’ death on the cross and his resurrection, and what it means to us. It means HE LOVES YOU! And you are so precious in his sight.

Do you know how precious you are to God? Have you accepted his FREE GIFT of salvation?

What scripture is encouraging you today? Share it with us!
