In anticipation of this amazing collection releasing on October 12th, I thought it would be fun to introduce you to each of the authors and give you, the readers, a glimpse into each of their lives and writing process. Today, we have best-selling author, Dana R. Lynn.

Let’s get to our interview, shall we?
When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
I’ve always loved writing. I first decided I wanted to be a writer, though, after I read The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. My initial dream was to be like her and write a book before I was 17, which didn’t happen. But my love of story kept the dream of writing alive.
What would you say is your most interesting writing quirk?
Probably the way I write. I am not a plotter, and I tend to write my book out of order. For example, I’ll write the first four chapters, then I’ll write the epilogue and final chapter. I’ll go back and forth and usually finish with a chapter that’s about 75% of the way into the book.
Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?
Information, such as research I get from people, the internet and sometimes travel. As for ideas, they come from anywhere and everywhere. It could be a dream, something in the news, a conversation I had or something I did on vacation.
What do you like to do when you’re not writing?
I love to read and watch movies, go for walks and do things with my family and friends.
What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
Being a writer involves so much more than writer. I never realized how much marketing was involved, or how much time I would spend on things other than writing.
What’s your favorite part about being a writer? Research? First Draft? Editing?
I really enjoy taking a rough draft (which is usually awful) and revising it into story that I would enjoy reading.
What do you think makes a good story?
For me, a good story is one that I can’t put down. I love it when I’m so invested in the story or the characters that I have to find out what happens next.
As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?
I wanted to be a teacher and a writer. Between that, I also wanted to sing on Broadway.
How do we find your books?
My books are sold in Walmart, Barnes and Noble and some other retail stores when they release. They can also be found online at www.harlequin.com, Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
Tell us about your novella for the Dangerous Pursuits Collection.
Deaf since birth, Heidi Martin is excited about her new career as a counselor at the school for the deaf. Until she walks in on a murder and must flee to stay alive. Desperate, she has no where to turn but Sergeant Tyler Davis, the man who saved her life, but spurned her love, years ago.
